Roxbury Coaches Become USATF Certified

ROXBURY, NJ (January 15, 2021) – Roxbury High School Track & Field coaches Conor Devine and Kate Stellingwerf were recently certified by USA Track & Field. The certification came after four full days of intensive instruction from Team USA Olympics coaches and several NCAA Division I collegiate coaches done via Zoom.

Topics included all aspects of the sport in addition to sports psychology, coaching ethics, anatomy and physiology, and nutrition.

Following the class, each coach had to take and pass an exam in order to earn their “USATF Coaching Certification”.

Coach Devine is in his eighth season with the Gaels focusing on the throws and Coach Stellingwerf is in her fourth season with the Gaels focusing on jumps and hurdles.

Go Gaels!
