Roxbury High School Choirs Win Big at Competition in Hershey

ROXBURY, NJ (May 16, 2019) – Six choirs from Roxbury High School traveled to Hershey, PA last weekend to compete in the Heritage Festival. The competing choirs were Roxbury Men’s Choir, Melodies, Vocal Jazz, Revelation, Chorale, and Classic Sounds Honors under the direction of Mr. Patrick Hachey, Mrs. Krista Sweer, and Mr. R. Daniel Salyerds. 

The choirs took home five first place trophies and one second place, achieved six superior ratings, and won the Best Overall Choir Award for Classic Sounds Honors. 

Roxbury students also won both possible individual student achievement awards with Jacob Wood (12) winning Outstanding Vocalist and David Petrov (10) earning Outstanding Accompanist.
