ROXBURY, NJ (May 16, 2019) – Members of the Roxbury High School Roxbotix robotics team participated in their second Adopt-a-Road clean up of this year on Righter Road on Thursday, May 9th as part of the Roxbury Clean Communities program. Roxbotix adopted this section of road in Roxbury and conducts roadside cleanups each spring and fall and receives small mini-grants to help fund their program.

Under the supervision of Lee Hayden, Roxbury’s robotics advisor, juniors Brodie Hageneder, Dustin La, Chris Libby, Rowan Luppnow, and AJ Marasco along with sophomores Rodante Alea, Walter Jacobus, Jason Lew, Bevan Luppnow, Jordan Migneault, and Caedon Roushinko donned orange vests and work gloves to clean up trash alongside Righter Road near Roxbury High School where many students park during the week while school is in session.

The Clean Communities program is a comprehensive litter abatement program serving New Jersey residents and visitors. The basic mission is to reduce litter in public places, promote the volunteer cleanup of public lands and to sustain a reduction in litter through education.
