EMS Students Place 5th in DOE Science Bowl

EMS Students Participate in NJ DOE Science Bowl  

ROXBURY, NJ (March 15, 2019) – Four students from Eisenhower Middle School in Roxbury Township participated in the New Jersey Department of Energy - National Science Bowl in Princeton, NJ on Friday, February 22nd. 

Seventh graders Yashil Trivedi, Aditya Mahalingam, Rithik Mehta, and Austin Christian placed fifth amongst a total of 16 teams that came from all over New Jersey. 

Each year Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) hosts the NJ Regional Science Bowl, a double elimination contest with question and answer rounds in the fields of chemistry, biology, astronomy, mathematics and general and earth sciences. Teams from middle, high and home schools are invited to enter. 

Principal Paul Gallagher shared that “We were honored to have the team represent EMS at the Science Bowl!”
