Dear Roxbury Families:

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in life is the foundation for all abundance.” This quotation from Eckhart Tolle sums up the purpose of the season.  Gratitude. Appreciation. We have been very fortunate to be able to attend school in-person this year, and we can’t forget that we were among the first school districts to provide this opportunity for our community last year. While this school year has brought us closer to a more typical experience, we still have a way to go before we truly feel back to normal.

With all of the stresses of this year and the upcoming wonderful, albeit exhausting, holiday season, we have decided to use one of our Emergency Days to close the district on Friday, December 10th. It is our sincere hope that our families will be able to use this gift of time to take a moment to enjoy the season, take a breath, and enjoy a long weekend amidst the bustle. We hope that this early notification will provide the time needed to make any arrangements necessary.

On behalf of the Board of Education and the Roxbury School District, we want to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and a very happy, peaceful and healthy holiday season.

Yours in Education,

Loretta L. Radulic, Ed. D.

Superintendent of Schools
