  • IMPORTANT Message:  Revised Schedule due to PSAT Testing October 14

    On Wednesday, October 14th, RHS will administer the PSAT to all 10th and 11th grade students and to 12th grade pupils who have yet to fulfill the state test requirement for graduation.


    On October 14th, we will hold a THREE hour delay for 9th and most 12th graders when the 10th and 11th graders, as well as some seniors, are being tested.  Students being tested will catch their buses at the normal time.  Freshman and non-testing seniors will catch their buses THREE hours later than they normally would.  We expect school to start promptly at 10:25 am, with abbreviated class periods for the remainder of the day.

  • Registration is now open for the Roxbury High School Ski/Snowboard Club. Reserve your spot on the bus now by registering on the Roxbury Community School website! Registration deadline is November 2nd.


    October is a month to acknowledge a drug free life as well as showing kindness and compassion to others.  October 5-9th is designated as the “Week of Respect,” while October 26-30th is “Red Ribbon Week.”  This month is devoted to creating a healthy, drug and violence free America. 


    Attention juniors and seniors, the guidance department will be hosting our second college fair of the year on Tuesday, October 20th in the media center from 12:30 to 2:00 in the afternoon.  You MUST sign up for a time to attend the event in advance with your guidance counselor. 


    There will be a brief boys’ basketball interest meeting today at 2:15 in D139.  All students interested in boys’ basketball should plan to attend


    There will be a brief meeting for any girls interested in playing basketball this winter today at 2:15 in D138.


    Attention Senior’s interested in helping out for Hallway Decorating. There will be meeting today right after school in Room N222 to discuss ideas. Anyone is welcome!

    Attention Senior’s: Please don't forget to order your portraits and select a yearbook photo. If this isn't completed soon Lors Photography will be picking your photo for the yearbook. 


    Last chance to join DECA, please bring your $15 to our next meeting in P244 on October 16th. Pins and t-shirts are coming!


    On Wednesday, October 14, Roxbury High School will administer the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test, P S A T, to all tenth and eleventh grade students and to twelfth grade pupils who have yet to fulfill the state test requirement for graduation.  Please remember to bring your calculator and pencils on exam day!


    On October 14, we will hold a three hour delay for ninth and most twelfth graders when tenth and eleventh graders, as well as some senior’s, are being tested. 


    For this week only you can buy spirit week shirts to help your class accounts.  The more shirts your class buys, the more profits you will get for your class.  T-shirt colors are based on classes:  Freshman will have Purple, Sophomore’s have Vegas Gold, Juniors have Light blue and Seniors have black.  Shirts cost $8 and all profits go to your class. 


    Spirit week starts this Friday Oct.  9th with blue and gold day.  Tuesday Oct. 13th is Pajama day, the 14th is Dynamic Duo Day, the 15th is Hawaiian Beach Day and the 16th is Spirit Shirt Day."  


    Spanish Club will meet for the first time this Thursday October 8 after school in the cafeteria. We welcome all new and all members.


    On Saturday October 17th, we will be having our homecoming dance from 7pm to 10:30.  We will crown the homecoming King and Queen.  This years’ theme is 'A night out on the town.' The price is $15 per student or 2 for $25 so bring a friend."  


    This is a reminder that underclassmen portrait retakes are scheduled for October 15th in the guidance conference room. Please remember to bring the payment and package form to school that day. If you need a form please see Ms. Alvarado. Forms can also be found on the school website
