Jefferson PreK Learns the Importance of Healthy Habits

ROXBURY, NJ (February 19, 2021) – It’s never too early to start learning healthy habits. Preschoolers at Jefferson Elementary School are well on their way. Students in Patti Klein’s preschool class this week learned about dental hygiene while discovering foods that are good for tooth health and foods that should be eaten less often.

Preschooler Drew Poquette was concerned to hear about one food in particular when he found out “Doritos chips are not healthy for your teeth?”

“The children had lots of fun and this was an important opportunity for them to form healthy habits,” shared Klein.

Adding, “Exploring topics like dentists and healthy food choices help them begin to understand the importance of caring for themselves.”
