Jefferson Preschoolers Celebrate Kindness Week

ROXBURY, NJ (January 22, 2021) – In preparation for next week’s district-wide Kindness Week and in conjunction with Martin Luther King Jr. Day this past Monday, preschoolers at Jefferson Elementary School engaged in kindness projects and songs as they understand the need for kindness in their classroom, community, and the world.

“We read important stories by authors Shelley Rotner and Sheila M. Kelly called Shades of People and Families. These picture books share the ideas of how families and people are uniquely beautiful,” explained Preschool Teacher Patti Klein.

“We intend to move forward with a diversity unit in our classroom later this year since the children enjoyed this week so very much.”
