Work Experience:  I have worked in the field of education since 2000.  After my maternity leave, in 2011, I worked as a special education paraprofessional. I returned to the classroom in 2014 as the ELA Basic Skills teacher and in 2015 I returned to my own classroom as the 7th grade ELA teacher. In 2019, I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.  I am honored to be a part of Eisenhower Middle School.

Philosophy: I believe that middle school is an integral part of a student's academic and social development and is a pivotal time in creating positive work habits and social skills. Middle school is a time of self-discovery, awareness and acceptance. It is imperative that we provide a safe, supportive, structured environment to help our students build confidence and the personal and interpersonal skills they need to be successful. All students have the ability to learn and achieve success. It is my belief that by creating a cohesive team of educators, administration, and parents, we can support our students to become their best selves.

Who I Am: I am a mom of four amazing children. I have three children in college and one is still in high school. I was a high school volleyball coach for many years in two different school districts. I hold an undergraduate degree from Montclair State University in English/ Secondary Education, a Master's degree in Higher Education from Walden University, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
