Roxbury Honors Top Students in Graduating Class of 2023 

ROXBURY, NJ (June 14, 2023) – Roxbury High School honored the top ten students in the class of 2023 on June 8th. These students graduated with the highest academic averages this year. In addition to the students, the district recognized the teachers those students felt contributed most to their educational success. Parents of the honorees were invited to accompany their children to a dinner and reception in the dining hall at Roxbury High School.

Honored students and teachers shared kind words, best wishes, a few memories and tears, and thanks to each other for the impact they have had on each other’s lives and the Roxbury community.

Students honored at the dinner were Kaitlyn Kellet, Isabella DiPasquale, Kimberly Tso, Maximus Corsi, Sofia Ong, Clair Winters, Charlotte Wilkes, Emily Kao, Alexa Wanamaker, and Angelina Marasco.

The teachers those students felt contributed most to their educational success were Kerry Lisa, Christine Sheldon, Izzy Speronza, Michael Gottfried, Scott Schilling, Jeffrey Conrad, Maria Rispoli, Bohdanka Demova, Robert Doyle, and Wendy Schneider-Vergara.

Future plans for each student include moving on to institutions of higher learning in the fall.

This year’s Valedictorian Kaitlyn Kellet will be headed to Rutgers University to study accounting with a plan to work in business. Angelina Marasco will also head to Rutgers University in the fall to study nursing to become a nurse.

This year’s Salutatorian, Isabella DiPasquale along with Kimberly Tso will head to Northeastern University. Isabella plans to study Health & Psychology on the Pre-PA Track with the goal of becoming a physician assistant while Kimberly plans to study Biomedical Engineering with the goal of becoming a prosthetic engineer.

We may have a future NASA engineer in Maximus Corsi who is off to Purdue University in the fall to major in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.

Sofia Ong will be attending Villanova University and plans to major in Computer Science and hopes to become a UI/UX Designer while Clair Winters if off to Penn State University with the plan to major in Geosciences and minor in Bassoon Performance. Her goal is to become a research Geologist as a part of the USGS.

Charlotte Wilkes will be heading to Skidmore College to study biology but is currently undecided in her future career path but will do something in the field of Biology. Alexa Wanamaker on the other hand, is headed to Susquehanna University to study Biomedical Sciences and plans to go to medical school to become a reconstructive plastic surgeon.

We wish all of these students the best of luck with their bright futures! Make Roxbury proud!
